Champagne Agrapart - Mineral 2015
Champagne Agrapart is a maker-vintner owner in the Côte des Blancs in Avize, in Champagne. The estate was founded in the 19th century by Arthur Agrapart, then developed by his grandson Pierre in the 1950s and 1960s. The 12-hectare vineyard extends mainly to Grands Crus planted with Chardonnay grapes. The grapes are harvested and pressed naturally. The soils of the vineyards have always been maintained by plowing, and in the vineyard each year, compost of local ingredients is applied. The biological life of the soil generates health and productivity in the vineyard. Champagne wines are neither fined nor filtered.
Agrapart Minéral is a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru, from an old vine of Chardonnay from Avize and Cramant, harvested in 2015 on very chalky soils. Half of the wine is aged in oak barrels, without filtration. It was bottled in May 2016 then disgorged in January 2022. It is an Extra-Brut Champagne dosed at 3 g/L.
Grape variety: 100% Chardonnay
