This project materialized in 1998 with the first planting of the local grape variety called Altesse and the first harvest took place in October 2002. A few months later, Denis Perroux met Brice Omont (a passionate biodynamic winemaker) and Michel Gisard (an agricultural engineer champagne). Since 2008, they have been at the head of the Domaine des Ardoisières which now covers 16 hectares. The estate is run biodynamically .
