Château Hosanna was known until 1999 under the name of Château Certan-Giraud. The 4.5 hectares, of the present estate of the Hosanna castle, were bought by the Moueix establishments from the Giraud family. They were the highest part of the old Château Certan-Giraud. Jean-Pierre Moueix, who is responsible for cultivation and breeding in many areas of Pomerol, and in particular in Petrus, allows Château Hosanna to establish itself as a rising star of the appellation.
Château Hosanna takes full advantage of its location and its rich soil, made up of clay and gravel, and lying to the north of Isle, which is a tributary of the Dordogne, as well as the vast experience of its owners. The domain, of 4.5 hectares, is dominated by Merlot and composed for the other part of Cabernet Franc.
