Champagne A. Bergère - Blanc de Blancs - Brut Soléra
Champagne A. Bergère is located in Epernay, in Champagne . The brand was founded by Albert Bergère in 1949, when he began to produce his Champagne by exploiting the family vines. His son André, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Martin, took over the management of the estate and extended the vineyard significantly: 14 terroirs on the Côte des Blancs. Thus, supplies of grapes from renowned villages and prestigious terroirs come each year to complete the harvest, offering a wide range of possibilities in the blends.
After the manual harvest, the grapes are pressed and alcoholic fermentation begins after clarification. In January, the team meets for the blends of different grape varieties, vintages or years. The wines created are bottled accompanied by the liqueur de liqueur which allows the foaming. During this second fermentation, the bottles are placed in the cellar between 3 to 4 years on average. At the end of ageing, the bottles are disgorged and then dosed with the expedition liqueur which defines the dosage. The bottles then return to the cellar for a minimum of 3 months before being marketed.
This Blanc de Blancs is made from Chardonnay whose vines are grown on the limestone soils of the villages of Fèrebrianges, Etoges, Congy and Sézanne. It is the result of a blend of wines from the 2019 vintage (50%) and wines aged in Solera (50%), made up of the different Blanc de Blancs cuvées from the estate since 2013. Vinification and aging on lees are carried out partially in 228 liter barrels. The wine was disgorged in March 2022 with a Brut dosage of 5 g/L .
