DOMAINE FRANCOIS CROCHET - Sancerre blanc - Exils 2019
Domaine François Crochet is located in the village of Bué, in the Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley. The family estate was taken over in 1998 by François Crochet after training with Burgundian winegrowers/winemakers. He operates 11 hectares of certified organic vines. He favours plot cuvées and his aging is carried out in such a way as to preserve the expression of the fruit and the terroir.
The cuvée Exils is the anagram of Silex, referring to the terroir on which the Sauvignon Blanc vines are grown. The plot was replanted in 2002 and is always the first to be harvested because of its early maturity. The wine is aged in large foudres.
Grape variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
