Château Haut Monplaisir - Tradition 2020
Château Haut-Monplaisir is located in Lacapelle-Cabanac, in the Cahors appellation. In 1998, the Fournié family took over this family business. As atodidacts, they get closer to Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe of Château du Cèdre to learn how to make Malbec wines. The vineyard covers 30 hectares, certified organic since 2012.
Château Haut-Monplaisir Tradition is made from Malbec , grown on stony clay-siliceous soils and whose vines are 30 years old. The harvest is destemmed and crushed and vinification takes place in cement vats with punching down. The vatting lasts between 25 and 30 days. The wine is aged in cement vats (70%) and in oak barrels (30%) for 18 months .
Grape variety: 100% Malbec
