Château Branaire, known as Branaire-Ducru, was previously a piece of the vast estate of Château Beychevelle. Classified fourth cru in 1855, since 1988 it has belonged to a French family group chaired by Patrick Maroteaux. The vineyard is located on one of the most beautiful gravelly ridges in the town of Saint-Julien-Beychevelle. The wine is distinguished by a great aromatic richness and a lot of flexibility. Since 1991, vinification has been carried out in a modern vat room operating by gravity. The pumping of the harvest and the wine is thus avoided, which preserves the integrity of the grape berries. The wines, fragrant, rich and deep, represent the quintessence of the spirit of Saint-Julien wines.
