Located on the Bages plateau, the Grand-Puy Lacoste vineyard, made up of gravel soil, has the specificity of not containing Cabernet Franc. The wines produced show great aptitude for aging. Colorful, tannic, sappy and full-bodied, they are considered the perfect type of classic Pauillac. In great vintages, they can compete with the greatest Médoc vintages. Grand-Puy Lacoste deserves better than its ranking.
