Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

Château Jean-Faure in Bordeaux, Mas Amiel in Roussillon: between these two estates, it is the story of a single man, Olivier Decelle, the sparkling and sympathetic owner of the Roussillon vineyard (he produces famous maurys there), who embarked on the Bordeaux adventure in 2004. "Especially not an oenologist" Stéphane Derenoncourt came as reinforcement; Claude and Lydia Bourguignon, the best soil specialists to date, complete the team. After major renovation work on the vineyard and the vat room, Jean-Faure began to make a name for himself, titillating the greatest of the right bank and placing himself here and there as a last minute guest in the charts usually trusted by the cadors of Libournais. The ambition of the new owner is moreover to restore this wine to its rightful place within the Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion. 18 hectares of vineyard in one piece, on the most beautiful terroirs of Saint-Émilion, with the most illustrious neighbors: La Dominique, Ripeau, Figeac, Cheval Blanc. Olivier Decelle's colt looks great among his peers and the wines are improving year after year. "The success of our approach is based on a notion of global respect, for a preserved terroir and a protected consumer". With the philosophy of saving the life of the soil and ensuring careful viticulture to produce wines that reflect their appellation. The terroir of gravel, clay and ferruginous sands has an atypical grape variety for Saint-Émilion, with 54% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 6% Malbec. Olivier Decelle has also invested in the Médoc with Haut-Maurac and the Fronsadais with the Haut-Ballet and Bellevue châteaux.
