The origins of Château Meyney go back to the 17th century and to the Couvent des Feuillants. The Fathers made the first plantings at this time. With the Revolution, the estate passed into the hands of the Luetkens family. It was acquired in the 1920s by Désiré Cordier, the founder of the Lorraine trading house "Cordier", who at the time wanted to expand his portfolio of Bordeaux properties.
