Macallan offers a new successful experience with this Single Malt Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Double Cask.

This whiskey has a fresher, smoother and richer style than the other signatures of the distillery thanks to its aging. Its perfectly balanced character has developed thanks to its 100% maturation in sherry barrels of two types: European oak and American oak.

This twelve-year maturing has given Macallan 12-year-old Sherry Double Cask the aromas of both oak varieties and the sweetness of sherry.

To understand the complexity and nuances of this whiskey, The Macallan distillery wanted to compare the elaboration of the precious spirit to that of a guitar by teaming up with Philippe Debreuille, a great manufacturer of custom guitars and wood expert. He sought to understand and make understand the importance of the origin and the quality of wood to achieve a beautiful creation.

Macallan 12 years Sherry Double Cask has a rich aromatic palette with spicy and woody aromas where hints of vanilla, caramel, candied orange with dried fruits and the sweetness of honey blend.
