LA PORTE SAINT JEAN - Sylvain Dittière - Pet Nat "Six Roses" 2017

Six Roses is a rose scented Pet'Nat. This natural sparkling wine uses grapes from the estate's young vines, which allows for better quality over the other vintages. Majority of Cabernet-Franc (90%) supplemented by some Chenin and Sauvignon.

Before fermentation, Sylvain Dittière macerates rose petals from his father's farm in the juice (nurseryman ... specialist in this flower). Bottling is done when almost all of the sugar has already been turned into alcohol, as you will see, this 'nat' pét, unlike many, is dry from dry.
The color is salmon pink, with fine scattered bubbles. Intense, concentrated nose, on redcurrant, dried orange peel. In the mouth it is tasty: straightforward - intense, with vinosity and lively, tonic bubbles.
The finish is powerful, chewy, with a return on red fruits, spices and a nice bitterness, cinchona style.
