Château BEYCHEVELLE 2015
Château Beychevelle is one of the biggest classified Crus of Médoc. Its elegant classical architecture and its geographical location on the edge of the Gironde, Beychevelle has always been coveted by the powerful of Bordeaux.
Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette, the powerful Duke of Epernon, demanded, according to the legend, that each ship passing the domain had to lower its sails as a sign of allegiance. It is from this legend that comes its name of Beychevelle meaning "Drop-Sail", as well as its weapons, being a ship with prow of griffon (guardian of the crater of the wine of Dionysus).
Château Beychevelle is currently owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group).
Vintage 2015 - 18-18,5 / 20
Intense depth, ultra-sleek length. Nobly aromatic, with a flesh superior to the great vintages of the previous decade, a sign of a more severe selection, cedar tannin, considerable finesse, Saint-Julien at its peak of seduction.
