For more than 135 years, the Pio Cesare house has perpetuated with passion and tradition the art of winemaking in the cellars of the historic house, located near Alba, in Piedmont in Italy. Founded in 1881 by Cesare Pio himself, the brilliant entrepreneur has dedicated his life to producing high quality wines expressing all the terroir of this unique region.

From an excellent vintage, the 2013 Barolo from Pio Cesare offers a magnificent expression of the Nebbiolo grape, which is one of the stars of Tuscan grape varieties.

On the nose, this red wine reveals an impressive aromatic palette, typical of Nebbiolo, with notes of crushed red fruits, dried flowers, nuts and rose. The entry in the mouth is marked by a beautiful roundness, a sensation of ripe fruit, which well polished tannins come to structure beautifully. Very harmonious, the finish ends with a nice fleshy length. Ready to be discovered immediately, this Barolo has an interesting aging potential, ensuring a good evolution to this wine.
