In a small fort built by the ancestors of Montesquieu, the Château Latour-Martillac Grand Cru Classé de Graves classified both in red and in white, was bought in 1871 by Edouard Kressman, a merchant who had just opened his trading house. . Today managed by the brothers Tristan and Loïc Kressmann, the property in the Pessac-Léognan appellation is based on 45 ha of hills of Pyrenean gravel. Red (Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet-Franc, Petit Verdot) and white (Sauvignon, Sémillon, Muscadelle) grape varieties make it a sure bet for the Pessac-Léognan appellation. Red is harmonious and elegant. The white is fresh, charming and its balance evolves towards a beautiful complexity giving the quintessence of this authentic gravel terroir.
