First Grand Cru Classé of Sauternes in 1855, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey is one of the most prestigious names in the emblematic appellation of sweet wines located in the south of the Bordeaux region. This very old wine-growing estate, whose origins date back to the 12th century, has survived the ages with brilliance and prestige. Since its acquisition by the lover of Grands Crus and businessman Silvio Denz, also CEO of Lalique, in 2014, Lafaurie-Peyraguey has experienced a real revolution with a qualitative rise that has elevated it to the rank of the greatest Sauternes.

Direct neighbor of the iconic Château d'Yquem, Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey has an exceptional terroir with a 36-hectare vineyard superbly located on the high terrace of Sauternes gravel resting on a limestone substrate.

Because great wines are born on great terroirs, Silvio Denz pursued with conviction and passion his desire to capture the finest essence of this terroir by transcribing it into wines of excellence. From the vineyard to the cellar, each stage of the production of Sauternes de Lafaurie-Peyraguey testifies to constant attention and technicality.
