VIEUX Château CERTAN 2013

Vieux Château Certan is located in the Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux. Today it belongs to the Thienpont family, who also own the famous and neighbor Le Pin. The vineyard covers 14 hectares and borders that of Château Pétrus. It is well known for its Merlot-based wine, which represents 70% of the total grape variety, the remaining 25% is planted in Cabernet Franc and the last 5% in Cabernet Sauvignon. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled oak vats, then the wine is aged for up to 22 months in new French oak barrels.
