That Boutique-y Whisky Company - Campbeltown - 6 ans - Oloroso Wine Cask Finish - 51,90 %
That Boutique-y Whisky Company is a trading name of Atom Supplies Limited. It is an independent supplier of rare bottlings from all corners of the whisky-making world. In collaboration with specialists in the field, its mission is to travel the world in search of unusual whisky barrels, often from distilleries that have been closed for a long time. The labels on each bottle are hand drawn and inspired by cartoon design. The illustrations on the whisky bottles are created by Emily Chappell.
This blended malt is made with whiskies from Campbeltown. This region was once the centre of the Scotch whisky industry, the crown jewel of distilling in Scotland with 30 distilleries operating on the small peninsula in the early 20th century. Today, only 3 distilleries are still working: Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia. The label is providing hints on what whisky is bottled here. The teaspoon refer to “teaspooned malt”; when a distillery adds a “teaspoon” (or a bit more) of another whisky into a cask, it cannot be bottled as a Single Malt from this distillery anymore by any broker or independent bottler. The Highland cows on the label are a reference to the old Glen Scotia packaging released in 2014. This second batch was aged for 6 years and matured in Oloroso cask. 363 bottles have been produced. The packaging comes with stickers to personnalise the box or bottle.
