Rhum Madkaud is an agricultural rum distilled and bottled exclusively in Martinique . It appeared in 1895 with its founder Félicien Madkaud , a Martinican slave son born free in 1857. It was produced by the family distilleries of Fond-Capot (in Carbet) and Carabin (in Lorrain) between 1895 and 1970 and has since distilled at the Sainte-Marie multi-brand production site. Today, Stéphane Madkaud , descendant of Félicien, owns the brand.
Castelmore White Rum is an agricultural rum produced from pure sugar cane juice , without mixing, without artificial flavor and without added sugar. Launched in 2012, this cuvée refers to Lieutenant General Jean-Charles de Baas-Castelmore, Governor General of the French West Indies and musketeer of Louis XIV, first occupant in 1674 of the Fond Capot estate where the Madkaud house was subsequently founded. . This rum is perfect for Ti-Punch.
