FETTERCAIRN - 18 years old - 46.80%
The Fettercairn Distillery is located in the village of Fettercairn in the Highlands of Scotland . The distillery was founded in 1824 by Sir Alexander Ramsay and was the second to obtain an official license. After almost completely burning down, it was rebuilt between 1887 and 1890. It then had several successive owners before being put on hold between 1926 and 1939. It then resumed its activity and doubled the number of its stills. The vast majority of Fettercairn's whiskey production is intended for blends; only 4% is sold as Single Malt. In 1971, it was bought by Tomintoul-Glenlivet Distillery Co Ltd. which was acquired two years later by Whyte and Mackay Ltd.
This 18 year old is aged in American white oak barrels and then refined in Scottish oak barrels.
