Guiseppe Quintarelli - Veneto Bianco Secco 2021
The Giuseppe Quintarelli estate is located in Verona, in the Veneto region of Italy . The estate dates from 1924 but it was Giuseppe Quintarelli (known as Bepi, in charge from the mid-1950s until his death in 2012) who made it successful. Giuseppe established his reputation with the traditional style of Amarone, aging it for seven years in Slavonian oak; the result is one of the most complex wines produced in Italy. Although he is traditional in his production of Amarone, it does not follow that Giuseppe is afraid of innovation. In addition to Amarone, it produces a dry white wine called Bianco Secco and a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Corvina labeled Primo Fiore. Giuseppe's daughter, Fiorenza , her husband, Giampaolo Grigoli , and their children Francesco and Lorenzo , are currently involved in the management of the estate.
Bianco Secco is a blend of Garganega, Trebbiano, Saorin, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc . The wine is vinified in stainless steel vats and aged on lees .
