Duties and taxes (For UK residents)

Dear UK residents, 

It is with great pleasure that we announce the resumption of shipments to the United Kingdom! Destinations include England, Scotland (mainland and islands), Wales and Northern Ireland.

Due to new legislation following Brexit, all shipments are taxable, regardless of the commodity. The invoice is paid on our website excluding taxes. However, the duty of UK customs and VAT are paid by the recipient prior to delivery. Our partner Chronopost/DHL notifies recipients by email and SMS. The recipient has the option of refusing payment of duties and taxes, in which case the parcel will be returned to the sender. The goods will be reimbursed but the transport costs incurred will remain the responsibility of the recipient.

Your order will be delivered in 3 to 5 working days and the shipping costs are calculated automatically on our website according to the delivery address.

As an indication, a bottle of wine at €15.75 Exc.VAT (around £14) sent to the Highlands in Scotland generates an additional cost of £10.48 (around €12) with the following breakdown:

Custom Duty: £0.09

Duty Tax Receiver: £5

Excise Duty: £2.23

VAT: £3.16

These costs vary depending on your final order and in no case will the sender cover these costs. It is important that the recipient is aware of this supplement and is prepared to pay the amount requested by customs in order to receive their order.

Finally, be aware that we are not able to tell you how much these additional customs fees are. They are calculated by our carrier and the customs service in place in the United Kingdom. We cannot give you an estimate before delivery.
