Old Telegraph Estate - Telegram 2022

Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe is located in Châteauneuf-du-Pape , in the Southern Rhône . The estate was created by Hippolyte Burnier and marketed its first wine in 1900. The Brunier family also produces wine under the Massaya label in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. It has grown to become one of the largest owners in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with nearly 100 hectares. The estate's vines (60 years old on average) are planted on the famous Plateau de La Crau, a renowned wine-growing site in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Sustainable viticulture is practiced throughout the property.

Télégramme is a blend of Grenache (80%), Syrah (10%), Mourvèdre (6%) and Cinsault (4%) . The harvest is manual with double sorting in the vineyard, followed by a third sorting in the cellar. The entire harvest is destemmed. Fermentation is traditional, lasting 25 to 30 days in vats. The wine is aged for 15 to 16 months in 60 hectoliter French oak tuns . It is marketed at 18 months.
