The history of Angostura begins in 1824, when Dr. Siegert wanted to perfect his bitter recipe in the town of Angostura, Venezuela. Angostura Bitters are an essential ingredient for making cocktails such as the Manhattan or the Old Fashioned. In 1875, the company moved to Trinidad , where it still resides today. It was in the 1940s that Angostura began distilling its own Trinidadian rum , whose range consists of white and amber rums.

This limited edition was produced to celebrate the brand's 200th anniversary. This bitter is a blend of aged Angostura rum with angelica root, Roman wormwood, and nutmeg.
