Domaine Carré Frères extends over 21 hectares of old vines, spread between the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Bar. Heirs to a long line of winemakers, the two brothers perpetuate tradition while integrating modern and nature-friendly practices. The Champagne Le Champ des Maladries 2021 by Carré Frères combines 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir from the prestigious terroirs of Trépail (Premier Cru) and Verzy (Grand Cru) . Vinified for 11 months in oak barrels with malolactic fermentation, it expresses all the complexity of its terroir. Disgorged on December 6 , 2024 , this Extra Brut cuvée, dosed at 2 g/L, reveals an elegant nose of white flowers, yellow fruits and fine woody notes. The mouth, taut and chalky, extends into a saline and mineral finish , a sign of great purity. Produced in only 5,809 bottles , it will seduce lovers of rare, refined and authentic champagnes.
