Louis Despagne, whose family was sharecropper at Cheval Blanc, who acquired the first family plots, at a place called Grand Corbin in 1812. The qualitative investments undertaken made it possible to achieve Grand Cru Classé recognition.

The passionate efforts of François Despagne have enabled progress and regularity, as evidenced by the excellent reviews from the tasters. The wine from Château Grand Corbin-Despagne combines power, balance and a certain elegance. The fruit is expressed and the tannic structure is solid.
