Château MACCARTHY - MOULA 1976

This castle is located to the south of the Chateau Montrose. The Mac Carthy estate is divided into several parts, including Marbuzet (a castle copied from the White House, we cannot escape it), Haut-Marbuzet, Mac-Carthy Moula, etc ... The name of Mac Carthy designates the vines of the Raymond family. In 1952, Hervé Duboscq bought 7 hectares of land for life, the Haut-Marbuzet base. In 1956, he bought Mac Carthy Moula. Other brands will be added to the domain, on the hills of Marbuzet. In 1987, Château Mac Carthy was purchased. It's all pretty intertwined; Mac Carthy is generally considered to be Haut-Marbuzet's second wine, but it is quite different, more Saint-Estèphe than Haut-Marbuzet.
