 A 1710 was born in the highly recognized Habitation du Simon in Martinique. A 1710 is the perfect alliance between the heritage of ancestral know-how of excellence and a resolutely modernist vision for a very high-end result.

Its creation dates back to 1710, and owes its essence to the will of Jean Assier. Today it is his direct descendant, Yves Assier de Pompignan who is at the origin of the new philosophy that drives the distillery and Habitation du Simon (taken over by the brand). This distillery is also equipped with a rather unique Charentais copper still, completed with 7 trays bearing the sweet name of "Belle Aline".

Rums aged A 1710 are the result of a composition meticulously orchestrated by the Master-Assembler of Cognac Stephanie Martin. For this masterpiece that is the Sun of Minuit, the greatest molasses cuvées of Martinique and Guadeloupe were selected. 6 rums aged 8 to 11 years were aged a second time in old casks of 300L Cognac brandy at Habitation du Simon. They were finally assembled in French oak casks that had previously contained Cognac eaux-de-vie for six months.

Midnight Sun is a rum with sweet accents and subtle roundness. It was bottled by hand in a beautiful carafe and each of the 1300 bottles produced for this 2016 edition received their number.
