Château Beychevelle, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Julien in the Bordeaux region, and property of Grands Millésimes de France, a subsidiary of the GMF, SUNTORY and ETHIAS Groups, has an exceptional vineyard of 90 hectares of deep Garonne gravel. A wine-growing tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages and a vigilant work of selection and aging allow the Château Beychevelle wine to be brought to perfection.

Thanks to the will of its management and the involvement of all its staff, in 2005 Château Beychevelle obtained a certificate of compliance with the “Terra Vitis” specifications as well as the qualification for “sustainable agriculture”. Other wines, produced with the same attention, are attached to this estate: a second AOC Saint-Julien wine, Amiral de Beychevelle, and an AOC Haut-Médoc wine, Brulières de Beychevelle. Château Beychevelle wine comes from vines with an average age of 28 years. The grape varieties are made up of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. At Château Beychevelle, traditional vinification is followed by an 18-month aging in oak barrels, which are half-renewed every year.
