Grand Corbin-Despagne is in many ways a safe bet in Saint-Émilion, recognized by the greatest tasters and amateurs, who are well aware of its potential. It must be recognized that François Despagne does not count his time or his energy to make Grand Corbin Despagne one of the very best Saint-Émilion, which will earn the property the rank of Grand Cru Class during the 2006 revision. Thus, 150 years after its birth, Château Grand Corbin-Despagne has become a benchmark, the rising value of Saint-Émilion, and still at exceptional value for money. With a majority of Merlot, it is a round, greedy and very silky wine. It evolves with grace and then develops truffle aromas.
