Château Jean Faure is an 18ha Grand Cru Classé located on one of the most prestigious terroirs of St Emilion as our neighbors, Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac prove. 1982 is an exceptional vintage with a very abundant harvest, a vintage which can be classified among the best of the 20th century for Bordeaux wines. The weather conditions were excellent with in particular an exceptional month of September, very hot and dry. The best wines are those from the northern Médoc of Saint-Julien, Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe and from Libournais, Saint-Emilion and Pomerol: the wines are very dense on the palate, complex, with a perfectly balanced structure.
