Château POUJEAUX 1999

This high-level cru is located in the Grand Poujeaux area, a magnificent gravelly croup with a clay-limestone subsoil. It has belonged to the Cuvelier family since 2008, already owner of Château Clos Fourtet in Saint-Emilion. Matthieu Cuvelier manages the estate, with the support of Christophe Labenne. The brilliant consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt follows the vinifications.

The 65 hectare vineyard has 50% Cabernet-Sauvignon, with a significant portion of Merlot (40%) and the rest in Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
