Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

Clos Fourtet is located on the famous limestone plateau of Saint-Emilion and benefits from one of the most beautiful terroirs of the appellation. The soil is a thin, perfectly draining clay-limestone layer. The 18ha vineyard is surrounded by stone walls. 85% Merlot makes up the vineyard, the rest is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon grape for 10% and Cabernet Francp for 5%. The estate has privileged access to the entrances to the famous galleries dug under the limestone plateau; the wines at the end of aging and as soon as they are bottled find there an ideal setting for a final rest before their expedition to the four corners of the world.
