The Compagnie des Indes was founded in 2016 on the initiative of Pierre Beuchet. It is inspired by companies from the East Indies that existed in the seventeenth and eighteenth century, specializing in the trade of fine products from distant countries. The rums of the Compagnie des Indes are therefore representative of their original terroir, they are authentic rums with strong identity that invite you to travel in their native soil.

This age-old rum from the Diamond Distillery - still 8 year old Port Mourant Still (owned by Demerara Distillers Limited - D.D.L.) is a Single Cask (rum from a single cask). The Diamond Distillery is the last distillery in Guyana and includes the historic stills of Guyana, with among them the oldest in the world still in activity including the legendary Port Mourant (double alambic with wooden tank). At the Diamond Distillery, the best of tradition and technological advances come together to produce rums of exceptional quality, recognized worldwide.

It was the East India Company that bottled for us this little treasure in a limited series of 387 bottles after a reduction to 43%. It has not undergone any other modification, filtration or addition. It expresses the purest style Demerara.
