Located on the Medoc peninsula, 55 km north of Bordeaux, the Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Saint-Estèphe is the most northerly of all the communal appellations.

These gravelly soils, the highest in the Médoc but also the most clayey of all the communal soils, characterized by the diversity of the composition of their layers, give the wines all their typicity.

All of these conditions allow the main grape varieties of the appellation: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, to achieve their full potential.
