Known as one of the most expensive and famous wines on the planet, Pétrus is one of the rare Bordeaux wines not to use the "chateau" appellation. While the wines are not classified in Pomerol, amateurs and professionals would certainly give Pétrus the mention of "Super premier cru", if it existed. Pétrus is not a castle, it is a land of legend, the inaccessible thought that only a few elected have the chance to bring to their lips.

The 1954 Petrus shows an increasingly voluptuous texture, great richness and depth, a very good spicy grip of tannins and fresh acidity. Nothing less than fragrant purity. A robust and yet really fresh Petrus 1954. The finish is remarkable, clear, pure and long. A bottle of collection but also a great wine of gastronomy.
