Initially, Domaine Savanna, located in Saint-Paul at the foot of the mountains, became a candy at the beginning of the 19th century. The Savanna distillery was born a little later, fruit of the will of Emile Hugot between 1948 and 1950. This former student of the Central School of Arts and Manufactures of Paris has been an international figure of the sugar industry. From 1982, a contract allows the Savanna distillery to raise the quality of its production in upscale rums, recognized quality that will have to be the first European distillery to be certified ISO 9002.

This age-old rum Grand Arôme Chai Humide 10 years of the 2007 vintage Cask n ° 339 is therefore a realization of the Savanna distillery. It was aged 10 years in French oak barrel No. 339 before being bottled without reduction (by addition of water) to 59.1 °. It is therefore a "Full Proof Single Cask" made in a limited edition of 807 50cl bottle.
