DÖNNHOFF - Hermanshöhle GG (sec) 2016

These old vines, around 60 years old, produce a great dry Riesling. Planted on a steep slope facing south, this sublime schist terroir gives the wine power and freshness as well as great minerality. Yields are low, and special care is taken during manual harvesting in order to preserve optimum berry quality.

The nose reveals notes of citrus, grapefruit, verbena and slightly petroleum, smoky and minty notes. On the palate, the attack is frank and tight, coated by a suave and fleshy texture. A great mineral purity runs through the palate until the long and persistent finish. An exceptional Riesling, to cellar for 10 years for even more emotion!
