Domaine de DERNACUEILLETTE - Cuvée Jacques 2012

 Guillaume Boussens' domain is located at an altitude (600 meters) in Termenès. The vineyard, located on a very mineral soil, is worked in a very natural way and without mechanization. The juices have no input except sulfur in small quantities.

This Jacques cuvée, made from a blend of 25% Syrah, 10% Grenache Noir and 65% Carignan (the latter two from vines ranging from 75 to 150 years old ...), is a superb wine, elegant, deep and fresh, with a beautiful structure. 26 months aging in vats! It can be tasted today after a passage in a decanter, but it will gain from being waited 3 or 4 years before being embellished over the next ten years ... Very good success. A high class wine.
