Château DESTIEUX 1961

Château Destieux occupies the second highest point in Saint-Émilion, in Saint-Hippolyte, on the plateau which bears the great names of the appellation. It is therefore a 360 ° panorama which is offered to the view, with the valley of the Dordogne and the hills of Montagne-Saint-Émilion. We find this privileged situation in the name of the domain because Destieux is a distant and ancient transformation of eyes .

Today, the château is owned by the Dauriac family, who also own the Château La Clémence in Pomerol, and Montlisse, another Grand Cru from Saint-Émilion.

Alongside this family, let us cite three names. First of all Michel Rolland, the famous adviser, who is close to the family and advises them closely. Then, Michel Duclos, champion of France of size who works his vines in reasoned fight. Finally, there is Laure Ininger, a young and promising oenologist who joined Vignobles Dauriac in 2006 and works to make wines distinguished by the press.

Let us quote for example several favorites at Hachette and Gault & Millau or the good marks attributed by Robert Parker, with in particular a 92-94 / 100 in 2005.

Here is a 1961 magnum, very rare in this state of preservation!
