Château LARRIVET HAUT BRION 1979

This property, which belongs to the Gervoson family (Andros group), regularly produces pleasant and accessible wines. With a beautiful terroir on the heights of Léognan, not far from Haut-Bailly and La Louvière, the cru also benefits from a modern winemaking tool with a brand new concrete vat room.

Bruno Lemoine has been its director since 2007 and François Gaudichon, a native of Cognac, graduated in oenology in Dijon and trained with the Confuron brothers in Vosne-Romanée, is the new cellar master since June 2015. They bring additional precision to the stylistic definition of the wines, both in terms of the aromatics of the whites (notably with vinification in ovoid vats and seven wooden vats to further refine the plot selection) and in the tannic structure of the reds. Since the 2015 vintage, Michel Rolland has been replaced by Stéphane Derenoncourt as advisor.
