Château Meyney is one of the oldest properties in the Médoc. It is Anne le Naour who is the technical director, assisted by Hubert de Bouärd. The estate covers 51 hectares planted on siliceous gravel with vines on average between 35 and 40 years old. The grape variety is established as follows: 60% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot and 10% petit verdot.
The harvest is carried out manually and each year around 160,000 bottles of Château Meyney are produced. Note that a second wine, Prieur de Meyney is also produced in quantities similar to the first wine. On tasting, the wine is full-bodied, fleshy, with a beautiful tannic structure. It can boast a great aging potential but requires waiting ten years to fully express itself.
