Château Haut-Brion is the most famous wine estate in the Graves vineyard.
It is located in the appellation area of Pessac-Léognan1, in the commune of Pessac (head office) and Talence, in the agglomeration of Bordeaux. It produces one of the most prestigious Bordeaux wines, which bears the same name.
Château Haut-Brion is a “premier grand cru classé” according to the 1855 classification of Bordeaux wines. It shares this rare distinction with Château Margaux, Château Latour, Château Mouton Rothschild and Château Lafite Rothschild. In addition, Château Haut-Brion is also classified as a classified serious growth in the 1959 classification.
