Château LAGRANGE 2001
This property, bought in 1953 by the Jean-Pierre Moueix Establishments from Mr. Pecresse, also owner of Château Trotanoy, is located on the northern edge of the famous Pomerol plateau, adjoining famous neighbors.
The vineyard, planted on heavy clay soils, is worked in the traditional way with great attention (plowing the soil, thinning and stripping). After a few hours' manual picking, the musts ferment in cement vats. Aging continues in oak barrels.
Château Lagrange wine, charming from its youth, combines roundness and generosity, suppleness and fruit, in a very beautiful expression of Pomerol soils.
