Château RAUZAN-GASSIES 1990
Château Rauzan-Gassies is located in the appellation of Margaux, in Bordeaux. It was classified 2nd Growth of the 1855 classification. In the 18th century, the Château was part of the vast property of Rauzan, which has since been divided into Châteaux Rauzan-Gassies, Rauzan-Ségla, Desmirail and Marquis de Terme. Since 1945, the Quié family has owned Château Rauzan-Gassies, as well as the Châteaux Bel-Orme and Croizet-Bages.
Château Rauzan-Gassies covers 28 hectares and is planted mainly in Cabernet Sauvignon (about 2/3 of the grape varieties), in Merlot and in smaller proportions in Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The winemaking is traditional then the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels, 25% of which is new.
