OLD BROTHERS - John Dore - Sainte Lucie 20 ans - Millésime 2000 - Brut de fût - 65,1%
The history of Old Brothers dates back to 2004, when the friendship between Anthony Martins and Julien Leroux began when they met in the Army and the many missions around the world they carried out together. Anthony Martins graduated from the Paris wine school and, having obtained a wine sommelier diploma, he created “La Source”, a shop specialising in spirits, in Toulouse in December 2015. Quickly, the idea to open an independent bottling company is set up and the structure opens in November 2016. They travel through the distilleries of the world and bring back the best expressions of distillation. The Old Brothers bottles are numbered by hand, the vegetable cord which adorns the neck is placed by Anthony and Julien. The label is held by a ribbon, sealed with a wax seal bearing the logo of a compass that represents their travels around the world for years.
Chairman's Reserve is a rum from the Saint Lucia Distillers Distillery on the island of Saint Lucia, in the Caribbean. It was distilled with the pot still called "John Dore 1", then aged in Bourbon casks for 20 years. This rum was selected by Old Brothers in collaboration with Alexandre Beudet from the company Excellence Rhum.
