Château CROIZET-BAGES 1983
Château Croizet-Bages is located in the Pauillac appellation, in Bordeaux . It was classified Fifth Grand Cru Classé in the classification of 1855. The estate was created on the former property of Bages dating from the 16th century. In 1934, it became the property of Paul Quié and has remained in the family ever since. It is managed by Jean-Michel Quié, Anne-Françoise Quié and Jean-Philippe Quié, who also own Château Rauzan-Gassies and Château Bel-Orme.
The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc . The aging lasts 12 months in barrels , with 50 to 55% new barrels. The 1983 vintage is considered a “ very great vintage ” in Pauillac.
