BONDAR - Junto GSM 2020
Bondar Wines is located in the McLaren Vale region of the Fleurieu area of South Australia . The estate was created in March 2012 by André Bondar and his wife Selina Kelly . André's main influences come from his experience in Adelaide Hills as a lead winemaker at Nepenthe Wines, and his time spent in northern Rhône, France at Domaine Alain Graillot. Selina started her professional life as a lawyer but soon realized that it wasn't for her. She retrained and worked as marketing director for Yangarra and the new label Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyard, then at Hentley Farm in the Barossa region. The family winery produces wines in the McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills regions. In May 2013, they purchased the historic Rayner Vineyard in McLaren Vale, one of the best known in the region. The vine plantations date back to the 1950s, when the property belonged to the Rayner family, and are composed mainly of Shiraz and Grenache.
