MILLONARIO - Solera 15 years old - Reserva Especial - 40%
Ron Millonario is a brand owned by Rossi & Rossi SRL located in Treviso, Italy. In 1904, in northern Peru , the Hacienda Agrícola de Chiclayo was founded, known as the "city of friendship". A group of farmers had united to exchange their sugar and they built a small refinery. In 1922, the Peruvian landowning family Piera de Castillo bought the hacienda, refinery and vast sugar cane plantation from the Gutiérrez family. In 1933 Don Rolando sent his eldest son Augusto to study chemical engineering at the University of Cambridge. In the summer of 1938, a ship bound for Peru left London, carrying the precious sugar mills and a Scottish column still for distillation. The Ron Millonario brand was created in the 1950s. In search of new products, Fabio Rossi arrived in Peru in 2004, and then discovered Ron Millonario.
The Reserva Especial 15 is the original Ron Millonario, the first version released. It is the result of slow fermentation of sugar cane molasses and laborious distillation. Maturation takes place for 15 years in oak barrels arranged in the Solera system. Each bottle is covered with hand-woven Toquilla palm fibers from the city of Catacaos, near Piura, in northern Peru. An emblematic and elegant packaging, which evokes tradition and popular craftsmanship.
