Chateau RAYMOND LAFON - Magnum 2010
Château Raymond-Lafon is located in Sauternes , in the Bordeaux wine region. It was founded in 1850 and today covers 18 hectares, of which 16 hectares are in production. In 1972, Francine and Pierre Meslier became owners of the chateau. Agronomist engineer from Montpellier, Pierre Meslier was able to apply his great experience of Sauternes wines to the cultivation of his vineyard, to the vinification and aging of Château Raymond-Lafon wines. Francine Meslier was in charge of the day-to-day management of the property. Since 1990, their children, Marie-Françoise, Charles-Henri and Jean-Pierre and Pierre Meslier have continued the work of their parents.
The wine is a blend of Sémillon (80%) and Sauvignon Blanc (20%) . The botrytised grapes are harvested grain by grain, by successive sorting of 3 to 10 passages. The wine is aged for 3 years in oak barrels .
